The length of the street is 630m. it leads from the BogdanaKhmelnitskogo Street to the LvaTolstoho Street.The Taras Shevchenko Boulevard is connected to this street.
It appeared in 1861. On this street you may find the museum of Russian art, the Bognana and Varvara Khanenko Art Museum. Near the Museum of Russian Art you can see the monument to I.E.Repin. In the yard of the museum there is also a monument to Aleksander II.
People call this street The Museum Street, because of the numerous museums that are located on this street. The even side of the street is occupied by the Shevchenko Park.
