The Conciliarity day in Ukraine (Den Sobornosti)

Today, January 22, Ukraine is celebrating its Day of conciliarism.

This holiday is celebrated every year to honor the Act of reunion of People ’s Republic of Ukraine with the western-Ukrainian people’s republic. This reunion took place in 1919.

In 1999 the president of Ukraine made an order that declared this day a state holiday.
