The national museum of Art in Ukraine

The national museum of Art in Ukraine is the biggest museum in our country. It was founded in 1899, its official grand opening happened on December 23, 1904. The funds of national museum of Art in Ukraine count more than 40 000 exhibits. Among them you can see the master pieces by Ukrainian and foreign painters, sculptors and graphics from the times of Kiev Russ till nowadays.

In this museum you can see the biggest collection of icons in Ukraine. There you can also see the examples of XIX paintings, Ukrainian avant-garde, the newest examples of XX-XXI century paintings.
