The Pushkinska Street is located in shevchenkovskiy district in Kiev. It leads from the Proresna Street to the LvaTolstogo Square. The length of the street is 975m. A part of this street (between the Proresna street and the Shevchenko boulevard) was created in 1840s. it used to have a different name – Elizavetinska, I honor of Russian Empress ElizavetaPetrovna. The other half of the street was created in 1870s when a vacant spot of land was sold in front of the university. The street got its current name in 1899. The street is almost entirely preserved since the XIX-XX centuries. Only a few houses were destroyed in autumn 1941.
On the street there is the Bar on the Roof, the Credit Agricole Bank, the restoran Comelfo, the hotel Premier Palace.
The nearest metro stations: “Teatralna”, “Ploshcha Lva Tolstogo”.
