Protasiv Yar is a real ski resort in the center of Kiev; it is aimed both for skiing and snowboarding. For rhose who like snowboarding there is a special snowpark. Thousands of people visit Protasiv Yard to go skiing or snowboarding. The entrance is free of charge but you will have to pay for the elevators. You can also rent the equipement or hire the instructor.
On the territory of Protasiv Yar there are two lanes of different length and difficulty. The first one will be perfect for beginners. The lane is gently sloping, the length is 500m and the difference in height is 70m. The second lane is for experienced skiiers and snowboarders. It is steeper that the first one but the length is only 300m.
The Protasiv Yar is often used to hold winter corporate holidays, and each Saturday you can do skiing at night. Also you can visit a cozy cafee that is on the territory of the park where you can drink a cup of coffee and regain forces before the next lap.
