Pochtova square is located in Podlskiy district in Kiev. It is located near the streets: Sagaidachnogo, Naberejno-Kreshatinskoy, Naberejnoe highway, Vladimirskiy descend and Borichev descend. It is one of the oldest squares in Kiev. The current name appeared in XVIII century. In XIX century there was one more name that was used – the Christmas Square. In XX century the square was majorly reconstructed and transferred to the north of the city. On this square there is a metro station “Pochtova Ploshcha”. The funicular railway is located on this square that connects the Lower Podol with the Upper City. On the square you can find the low station of the funicular railway, the Kiev riverside station, two hotels, the Church of the Nativity of Christ.
