The Pecherska Square is located in Pecherskiy district in Kiev between following streets: Nemirovitcha-Danchenko, Mirnogo, Gussovskogo, Kopilenko, Kutuzova side street, Leskova Street. The Square was created in 1830s. in the documents that date back to the XIX century the square is marked as the New Market, Pecherskiy Market, Trade Square, Pechersk Square. In 1926 the city authorities decided to rename this square to the Square of the Rebellion of Sappers, to honor the revolt that happened in Kiev on November 18, 1905. On this square you can find a market, a super market “Velyka Kyshenia”, the Upper Economic Court of Ukraine.
