The Kristerov hill is a park in Podol district in Kiev. It is a part of a residential area that is being constructed now – the ParkoveMisto. The territory of the park is 4.3hectares. in this park you can see swans, wild ducks, 4 species of animals that are included into the Red Book, 10 species of animals that are kept by Bernska convention. The flora of the park counts more than 25 species, chesnut trees that are more than 150 years old, the oak that is 400 years old. The park was founded in 1850 by VilgelmKrister. It turned out that he had a passion for gardening and that’s why he decided to found the gardening community “Gardening and Seed from V.Krister”. in June 2009 the park was reopened for visitors after reconstruction. During the reconstruction they revived the two lakes, built two pedestrian bridges, planted new trees and bushes, sowed lawns, created three decorative flower beds, installed 41 bench and 25 trash cans, 33 decorative lightning pillars.
