The Darnitsa railway-car bridge

The Darnitsa railway-car bridge is a combined railway and car bridge in Kiev. The total length of the bridge is 1066meters. The bridge provides 3 line circulations in both ways and also two railway tracks. It has traffic capacity to pass 60000 cars and 120 trains per day.

The construction of a bridge began in 2004. On September 27, 2010 the railway tracks were opened. On December 17, 2010 the car traffic from the left bank to the right was opened. On March 31, 2011 the circulation from the right bank to the left was opened with the access to the bridge from the side of Koncha Zaspa. On may 27, 2010 the access from the Paton Bridge was added. The grand opening of the bridge was held on August 23, 2011.
