The Arsenalna Square is located in Pechersky district in Kiev. It is located between the Grushevskogo street, Moskovska Street and Mazepy Street. It appeared in XVIII century and had a different name – Nikolska. In XIX the Nikolsky Gates were built on this street – the main entrance gate to the New Pechersk Fortress. In 1919-1964 it was called the Revolution Square, in 1964-1991 – the Heroes of Arsenal Square. In 1991 it got its current name. On the Arsenalna Square you can see the Commandant’s office, cannon – a monument to the
workers of the factory Arsenal who were on strike, and also one of the sights in Kiev – he side of the wall of the factory with bullets traces.
