Havana Bridge is a concrete bridge across the harbor (in the place where it connects with the Dnieper) in Kiev. The first line was opened on December 17, 2007. It was totally built and opened on October 23, 2010. It connects the Rybatskiy island ( Naberezhnye Rybalskaya street) with Podol district( Naberezhno Khreshchatytska street).
First, the bridge was designed to be flap to provide passage for ships, but the project was not implemented because the bridge has six supporting pylons.
To ensure the right flow of traffic from the side of Podol during 2008-2010 the overpass was built on the Naberezhnye Khreschatytska street. On October 23, 2010 the overpass was opened on Naberezhno Khreschatytska street and a two-way traffic on the Havana bridge.
