“Dom Turbinukh” - memorial building-museum of M.Bulgakov was opened in the beginning of 1989. The main exposition is on the second floor. Here you can see personal stuff that belonged to Bulgakov; you can also hear the history of his life in Kiev. This story is deeply connected with his novel “Belaya Gvardiya”. The house takes its name after the last name of main heroes who “live” here and not after the name of the author of this novel (Bulgakov). The house was built in 1888-1889 according to the Mr.Gordenina’s project for the merchant Litoshenko’s wife. The Bulgakovs have lived in this amazing house for 13 years, starting from 1906 till 1919. The mansion consists of rock socle and the first floor, all the top floor is made of wood, edged with bricks and covered with iron.
